SALOMON – Trail Running Display
CEDIC shops & presentation, the specialist for P.o.P.
presentation located at Heilbronn, Germany, has designed and
manufactured a conspicuous floor presenter for SALOMON, the French
maker of sport articles.
Salomon France
S.A., located at Annecy, wanted to use a conspicuous floor presenter to
improve the sale of its running-shoe collection at the Point of
Purchase. The two-sided, semi-permanent floor presenters were developed
and manufactured by CEDIC shop & presentation, Heilbronn. The new
display was supposed to show the entire range of Salomon's shoes –
focussing on the soles in particular but visible from all sides.
CEDIC'S international design team decided to create a floor presenter
as "invisible" as possible to highlight the logo and the products. The
design is supported by the mix of materials including laser-cut clear
acrylic glass for the upper part of the display and light grey for the
base. Using this combination, CEDIC achieved an interesting visual
effect: The shoes seem to be floating in the air. The soles were also
taken into account: Since the gaps in the clear acrylic glass are on
different levels the shoes are presented at different angles and are
well visible. The design is flexible and designed for further use
because all shoes of the Salomon programme fit in the gaps. The visuals
in the base can, of course, be exchanged. Salomon was extremely
satisfied with the retail's feedback with respect to the new floor
presenters and ordered a second edition in early 2007. Several hundred
displays were manufactured at Cedic's plant at Heilbronn and delivered
to Salomon's central warehouse in France, from where they were
dispatched to sport shops all over Europe.
